Set in a beautiful location offering musicians the chance to work on their music in an atmosphere so laid back and hassle free that it's like being on holiday.

Revolution Studio in Normandy, France, is situated in open countryside not far from a village called Ommoy, about 60 km south of the city of Caen. The house, Le Douit Bourget, is an 18th century farm manor set in six acres of private grounds, which consist of several fields grazed by our three ponies and a beautiful walled garden built close to the house around an ornamental carp pond. A stream runs through the land where you can do trout and course fishing.

The studio and accommodation are in a purpose built annex to the main house which were newly refurbished to a very high standard in 2000. As well as the control, vocal and drum rooms which make up the studio there are three double bedrooms, a shower room and a reception area. The latter is equipped with coffee and tea making gear, a fridge for your cold drinks and a microwave to heat up snacks. Next door in the main house is the clients' lounge/diner which has been restored and furnished as close as possible to its original style, with modern additions such as sofas, a Hi-fi, a TV and a video cassette player. The main house and annex are centrally heated and the lounge has a large fireplace which is used during the colder months.

The house and location have a great atmosphere, making this an ideal place to make music - at any time of the year.

Non-musicians in your group are equally welcome as musicians. So bring along a partner, friends and/or your children. Our 'Places To Visit' and 'Activities' pages offer interesting possibilities for those in your company who might not necessarily be interested in music.
