This is probably one of the most beautiful settings for a studio you'll ever come across, providing a wonderful relaxed atmosphere for either recording or working on existing Pro Tools projects. As well as doing our professional best to get you the results you want, we try to cater for all your other needs too so that the whole experience is hassle free and a pleasure - like a holiday in fact!

In choosing the equipment we've tried our best to accommodate as many different tastes and styles of music as possible, so we hope that a classical musician will feel as much at home here as a Grunge band. The front end of our setup, between the microphone and the recorder, is mainly analogue. We use the best mikes, like a Neumann U87, to capture the sound and then sweeten it up using a TL Audio M3 Tubetracker, which consists of 8 channels of tube preamps and EQ's. Compression is provided by a dual channel Avalon AD2044, a dual channel Manley Vari-Mu and some RNC 1773's (RNC stands for Really Nice Compressor by the way). The analogue signals are converted into digital signals by Lucid's ADA8824, one of the best and warmest sounding AD/DA convertors you'll find, and then they're recorded to our Mackie HDR 24/96. We're now in the digital domain and we can do nondestructive editing of the tracks in the HDR. We use the fully automated 72 channel Mackie Digital 8.Bus for the mixing, adding FX from the Digital 8.Bus's onboard FX and from outboard digital FX units such as the Lexicon PCM91 and the Eventide Eclipse Harmonizer. For polishing up the mix before being recorded to CD everything is bussed out from the Digital 8.Bus to Pro Tools. We think it is a really neat system and we're sure you will think so too. (Please visit the 'Spec List' page for a full list of the studio equipment)

Non-musicians in your group are equally welcome. So bring along a partner, friends and/or your children. There are loads of things to do here for all ages.

Other services

Drawing on many years experience in the music industry we can also help you with your song arrangements and produce your material for you. If you need session musicians, don't worry, we have a team of very talented musicians who regularly play for us and who won't charge you an arm and a leg for their service. We also offer courses in sound engineering.

We can negotiate a discounted rate for your ferry crossing. Please contact us for details. If you take the ferry to Ouistreham/CAEN as a foot passenger, we'll even pick you up and take you back for a small fee (please see the 'Prices' page for further details).

If you would like any further information, technical or otherwise, please don't hesitate to contact us.
